Sketch writers! Interested in submitting for next year’s Hawaii Sketch Comedy Festival? Or write your own sketch show? Have sketches you like but not sure if they work? Join us in the writer’s room!
We will go through your sketches with a table read, find a game that best fits your idea, and then as a group pitch jokes for it as you would in a writers room. We will then spend the remainder of the class working on pitching sketch ideas and finding either a solid game for you to follow, or form a basic outline for your sketch.
Please bring with you:
Notebook and pen to take notes.
One sketch and at least four copies to read with the class. (If your sketch has a lot of characters maybe consider bringing an extra copy)
Pitches for sketch ideas!
